Movie Review: “In Time”

In this futuristic world, money no longer exists, instead people work for time. People have been engineer not to age past twenty five, only you have to work to have time to live. Everyone has a clock on them that counts how long you have to live. You start with one year to live that starts counting down when you turn 25. The poor live day by day and the rich live forever.

A brilliant science fiction movie staring: Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Cillian Murphy. “In time” explores the problems and limits of a society where time really is money and maybe more importantly life.

The movie raises allot of questions but especially it left me thinking what would you do if you knew exactly how much time you have to life. If your life was counted down to the second you would probably stop wasting time with a lot of things that maybe aren’t that important and start focussing in what really matters. It reminded me of how much time we really waste in our daily lives and how we could use it better.

A great movie full of action and with some great performances, “In Time” raises questions that are extremely relevant in our society and even more so in times of crises such as these.
