Finding the Courage to do What you Love

“Find a subject you care about and which you in your heart feel others should care about. It is this genuine caring, not your games with language, which will be the most compelling and seductive element in your style.”

-Kurt Vonnegut

Passion > Knowledge

This wonderful quote has a great deal of meaning in my life. I have always strived to do what I love. But doing what you love isn’t always easy. There are times when doing that which you are passionate about is challenging,  you may find yourself doubting your skill.

It is a normal doubt to have, specially when you have just recently begun practising your passions. You most often than not find yourself travelling trough unknown territory.

It’s much easier to trust your instincts and abilities when you have years of experience behind you. When you have seen all the winding turns of the path and know exactly where they’ll lead.

For those of us that are just starting in our field the security and self-confidence that is expected from those doing what we love can be harder to find.

This quote remind us that trough our wobbling steps and unsure decisions, our heart and soul, however inexperienced, are still our best guides and those most likely to bring us to safe harbour.
